Q : How Do I register myself/my child on your site?
A : Click the REGISTER menu item.
Q : How long will my portfolio be published on your site?
A : As long as you keep your details and photos up to date we will keep your portfolio active. We stop displaying portfolios if they haven't been updated in the last six months. So update your photos and information regularly.
Q : When does the contest open?
A : We accept entries on the 1st of every month.
Q : When does the contest close ?
A : Entries are accepted up to the 25th of the month. Voting ends on the last day of the month.
Q : Are there any prizes ?
A : The prizes are fun, fame and a digital certificate!
Q : How are winners decided?
A : To ensure that entrants are judged fairly we no longer simply use the number of votes to determine the winner.
We have a formula that takes the weighted factors into account - such as :
1. Number of votes accrued,
2. Number of days the entrant was in the contest,
3. Number of cities that voted for the entrant and
4. Number of countries that voted for the entrant.
For example five votes from one city in one country have a lower score than five votes from five different cities in five different countries. We are committed to keeping this contest as fair as possible. The concept is the more popular an entrant is across the world the better they will do in the contest.
Q : How does voting work?
A : As of March 2009 we are allowing our visitors to vote as many times as they like in any category. The only limitation is that you may only vote once per entrant - the reasoning behind this is that if you like three entrants in a category you should be able to vote for all of them. Furthermore if you have already voted and another entrant enters the same category and we would like you to give them the benefit of a vote as well.
